See below for detailled map of St Pal en Chalencon area
By road from Calais
Assuming you are trying to accomplish the journey as quickly as possible, you should follow the eastern autoroutes via Reims to Lyons. The majority of this is toll road. After Lyons follow signs for St Etienne, then Firminy. Leave the autoroute at Firminy in the direction of Unieux and St Bonnet le Chateau. From Unieux go through St Maurice en Gourgois and Apinac. At the roundabout just before St Pal en Chalencon take the road to Usson-en-Forez.
Access from airports
From Lyon airport, go through motorway toll and turn right towards Lyon. After 4 km approx, bear right following signs to St Etienne. Follow motorway down to Givors and then follow signs to Firminy.
From St Etienne airport, turn right at roundabout as you leave the airport. At the next junction bear right to St Bonnet le Chateau and follow this road through St Bonnet following signs to Usson. At Usson fork left as you enter down to a crossroads. Follow signs to St Pal en Chalencon
To find the house
At the top of the hill on the road between Usson and St Pal there is a staggered crossroads. Turn right if coming from Usson or left if coming from St Pal signed to Bost Busson and Le Grangeon. Follow the road through Bost Busson past the cross and follow road round to the left after a new house. Ours is the first house on the right 250 metres further on as you enter Le Grangeon.
Access to house and key
Arrangements will be made for you to collect the key and we will telphone you before your departure to confirm these. Inside the house on arrival, you will find a large book giving details of how everything works and where everything is. You will also find a book with the telephone numbers of medical assistance, plumbers, electricians etc. and also the number of Monsieur Martin who deals with the garden and the pool during the summer. If there are any serious problems, it is best to telephone us here in England.
Arriving and leaving
We would beg you not to arrive before 5pm. Whilst we expect all departing tenants to have left the house clean there is still a lot of work changing sheets and generally tidying and if people arrive early the cleaner inevitably has to rush. This can cause problems. At the end of your holiday, please vacate the house by 10am leaving the keys in the place where you found them.

The Le Grangeon landline telephone number from England is 00334 71613178. The itemised telephone bill is received quarterly and we will deduct any charges during your stay from your deposit.
